The subject enables the student to choose the structural system for mega-structures, estimate the dimensions of structural elements forming them, design of hollow blocks, flat slabs, ribbed slabs. The student will be taught to estimate structural dimensions and to choose the structural system, study simple and continuous beams, different kinds of frames, verendeel beams, circular beams and slabs, concrete trusses.
