Emphasis is on problems of process concepts and processor scheduling, multiprogramming, memory organization and management, virtual storage organization and management, information management. Disk sheduling and its optimization. Input/output communication. Study and discussion of major operating systems such as Unix, NT, Windows. Laboratory work on many control programs as well as practice on single user and multiuser systems.
