This will be the method and we're gonna turn this kitchen upside down, so something that's gonna be key is definitely these little light pants. Let me show you so it's these just white pads. We got these at the Dollar Tree and we got 12 because of like the measurement in square feet and they were two for a dollar, so it was really nice. So this is key because if you are gonna use, stick finally you're gonna want to use thing just so it doesn't damage the tile. But if it is like your own house who cares, you know but um yeah, this will be the first step.
So what you're gonna want to do is lay down all the white construction paper just to kind of fit and map it out and, as you can see it like overlaps and that's the parts that you're gonna cut like, for example, I'm gonna. Take that this little piece right here, that's overlapping and I'm gonna put it under the fridge. That part is still missing and just kind of equal measure it out and then, as soon as we start we're gonna start. Laying these just look at it. For the tile, we went with this pretty one and we did like the whole math and our length of the kitchen was nine and a half by four and a half feet.
So we might actually need to get more. A box was $ 32 and we just split it down the middle, so is pretty cheap. We paid fifteen dollars each and if we are gonna need to get you to know extra they're, 89 cents, each so not expensive at all. It is the self-stick vinyl which we'll be able to stick on the white pad, and we got these at Home Depot and honestly, just look at this there are so many different ones that you can get and we decided to go with this one, and here is that they don't, they have ones that aren't self-stick just final, but just for the fact that it will be easy to move if we do end up deciding like other stuff.
I don't know if that made sense, but yeah here is here's that Tiffani says hi. Okay, you're doing the first strip, so you just peel it off like that. You know just peel it off and we're gonna. Do it vertically guys, because it's just the easiest way because we want to prevent cutting as much as possible and then like that boom. Look at that and now we just have to repeat that a bunch of different times but yeah as you can see, it's just easy right there and now look at that. We put two together and you can't even tell like what about you can tell alright.
So here is the after and here's before, okay and then, when you see these little things that we're gonna fill in at the end with any extra pieces or if, like I was saying in the beginning, if we're gonna need to go and get more, We'll cut it and stick it right there and then, when a piece doesn't fit as you can see, we laid it down. It's just right off the cut off we're using an Exacto knife just to kind of like measure in a way and to be honest, guys, regular scissors will cut through this. So you don't have to get fancy pliers, not pliers that are the new make sense scissors to cut through.
